Francis Baptist TributeFrancis was a good friend and did a lot for the registry and the VW scene in NZ. He organised two of the Oval runs and always supported the registry by coming along and bringing a number of his vehicles. Francis commonly invited people back to his and Vicki’s house after runs for a BBQ and drink. These were great times and it was good to catch up with people and check his new projects. For me these times of camaraderie are the best part of being in the hobby and Francis appreciated this more than anyone I know. My thoughts are with Vicki and family. Phil Coyle
Francis was
a great guy who would take the time to talk to anyone, he was one of the
first guys to introduce himself at my first vw run. And was more than
willing to talk vw's, even to those who didn't know too much about them.
He always shot you a smile, a hearty hello, and a wave.
